Maidenform and The Hour

Maidenform has taken the 1950's TV drama The Hour as inspiration for creating the era's classic hourglass look.
After it's recent campaign for Mad Men costumes, the brand's latest mail-out has taken inspiration from the BBC drama, The Hour, which is based in a 50's television newsroom. The women in the programme display classically hourglass shapes with nipped waists and play out the tensions of women trying to succeed in a man's world.

Maidenform has suggested its new Pretty Shapewear Collection Waist Nipper, made from silk and Eyelash lace and combining femininity and functionality for the 'perfect 50's figure'.
